The world’s biggest operation to disarm, demobilize and reintegrate (DDR) former soldiers was launched in Ed-Damazin on February 10. From the 10th to the 12th of May the Sudaneese capital was attacked by rebels of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM). Lead by Khalil Ibrahim, JEM is one of the biggest armed groups fighting government forces in Darfur.
