For the third time, the annual European Film Festival in Khartoum is launched on November 27th. A part from Norway, a number of institutions have contributed to this festival. Sweden, Italy, UK, Greece, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland are the presented countries in the screening of films.
This year’s Film Festival is about more than just films. One of the goals is to strengthen networks and capacities in the area of cinema, and to extend the cultural bridge between Sudan and Europe.
Next to the general Sudanese audience, the festival is targeting young Sudanese talents, film experts, artists, intellectuals and academics as well as journalists.
Norway is proudly presenting the film "Winterland", which is - in short - a warm and humorous story about searching for love in the land of winter.
