Norway supports UN Women in Sudan

Ambassador visited Central African Republic 1st to 3rd February to further enhance relations between the two countries. He discussed bilateral and regional issues with the Minister of Interior Josué Binoua and held other meetings to evaluate the situation.

State secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Torgeir Larsen today visits Khartoum for comprehensive talks on bilateral issues, regional developments and the current crisis in the negotiations between Sudan and South Sudan. Mr. Larsen meets the ministers of Petroleum and International Cooperation, state minister of Foreign Affairs as well as the Speaker of Parliament among other meetings.

The Drylands Coordination Group (DCG) is a network for capacity building through exchange of practical experience and appropriate knowledge on food security in the drylands of Africa. Today representatives of DCG discussed the activities in Sudan with ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud.

In its running dialogue with a broad scope of the Sudanese society the Embassy last week met the party leaders of the Democratic Unionist Party, the UMMA party and the Popular Congress Party to discuss current developments in Sudan.
